Join the Fun in Family Storytime!

April 7, 2014, Brampton - ­ Brampton Library offers Family Storytime programming at all  permanent locations. Family Storytime is designed to promote and build family literacy through the development of pre­reading skills that prepare children for entry into school.  Reading, writing, singing, talking and playing are 5 practices that introduce children to literacy, and through the interaction of stories, songs, rhymes and games children gain a deeper understanding of how to prepare to read and write.
Early literacy skill development begins at birth, and through consistent exposure to literacy rich environments and experiences, children can be ready to read by the time they enter kindergarten.  Public libraries have a tradition of helping children get ready to read. Family Storytime is designed to encourage families to adapt our techniques so they can develop a love Family Storytime runs at the following locations:

Branch (150 Central Park Dr. Brampton, ON  L6T 1B4)
Mondays at 7:00pm, Wednesdays at 10:30am, Saturdays at 2:00pm
Cyril Clark Branch (20 Loafer’s Lake Lane, Brampton, ON  L6Z 1X9)
Wednesdays at 6:30pm, Thursdays at 11:00am
Four Corners Branch (65 Queen St. E., Brampton, ON  L6W 3L6)
Tuesdays at 10:15am, Wednesdays at 7:00pm
Gore Meadows Branch (10150 The Gore Rd., Brampton ON L6P 0A6)
Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays at 10:30am
Mount Pleasant Village Branch (100 Commuter Dr., Brampton, ON  L7A 0G2)
Tuesdays at 7:00pm
South Fletcher’s Branch (500 Ray Lawson Blvd., Brampton, ON  L6Y 5B3)
